The regional GIZ project “Support to ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions” is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) for 3 years and 8 months (until December 2018). It assists ASEANSAI in its endeavour to augment institutional development and its members, by providing technical, organizational and process advice.
ASEANSAI fulfils its function as regional association for capacity development, knowledge sharing and closing capacity gaps in the SAIs of the CLMV nations in accordance with its strategic plan. >>
Pakistan’s government faces significant challenges to ensure good (financial) governance and state building. With the 18th Amendment of Pakistan's constitution in 2010, government functions were re-assigned at deferral and provincial level. The provision of public services and goods, transparency and tax equality can be enhanced. Combined with scant accountability this contributes to low trust of citizens in the state and its performance. Large groups of population, particularly women, are excluded from political, social and economic development.

The Macroeconomic Refroms / Green Growth Programme in Vietnam mainly focusses on the implementation of the Vietnamese Green Growth Strategy (VGGS) which aims at promoting ecological and sustainable growth by boosting 'green' economy sectors. The programme supports the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of Planning and Investemnt as well as the Ministry of Finance to improve public financial management. It further advises on the implementation of fiscal policies as well as identification of instruments that are crucial to the green growth transformation in Vietnam. >>
